Harper Collins Aquires DaySpring
HarperCollins Christian Publishing acquires DaySpring Book and Bible Publishin
HarperCollins Christian Publishing today announced it has purchased the book, children’s, and Bible publishing assets from DaySpring Cards, Inc., a leading creator of Christian greeting cards and specialty gift products. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The DaySpring book and Bible catalog includes more than 350 backlist titles, featuring gift books, journals, devotionals, coloring and puzzle books, Prayers to Share pass-along notes, as well as Bibles and children’s books. HarperCollins Christian will continue to publish these products under the DaySpring publishing name.
Hallmark-owned DaySpring Cards, Inc. will continue operating its greeting card and social expression products under the DaySpring name.
Katie Matzenbacher, Acquisitions Editor; Daniela Howard, Editor; and Juanita Groomer, Senior Production Manager, will be integrated into the HarperCollins Christian Publishing teams to support the DaySpring publishing program.
