B&B Training Center in Full Swing

We are very excited to share that the new B&B Training Center is completely finished and fully operational! This technologically advanced and stylish new space has already been a valuable addition to our Newburyport facility. Outfitted with six PC workstations, employees may utilize the space for safety training on an individual basis or in groups by department.

The Training Center will be a key asset for training sessions related to the Workforce Training Grant classes that have recently commenced. Supervisory Skills training is one of the programs being held in the Training Center. Microsoft Excel training and English for Speakers of Other Languages classes will also be held there. ESOL is a particularly exciting 100-hour course that will provide an opportunity for 15 team members to establish and develop their English language skills, giving them an opportunity to communicate more effectively both here at B&B and outside of work in their personal lives.

The next exciting project on the horizon is the development of the Bradford & Bigelow Apprenticeship Program. In association with Northeast Advanced Manufacturing Consortium and MassHire, B&B is in the process of creating formal programs to develop the skills of our team members. These training programs will each take a year to complete and will be centered around a formal curriculum for the skills needed to elevate from a helper to an operator in the Pressroom and Bindery.
